You & The 5
Today, we are living in a rapidly changing social landscape with many of the regular identity and cultural formation elements of our world being in a state of flux. This seems to be a normal course of events for each generation and those before probably felt the same. Throughout the shifts our main social structures broadly remain in tact while the operation within them takes on a new look and feel.
Those of us in the sub-50/sub-150 are the new shapers of these with those under 20 years old being the next generation of culture shapers. We carry forward many of the inherited aspects and seek to shift things in our favor and for the general good of those around us. We still end up operating and carrying forward that change within the realm of the 5. This fact beckons us to be involved and active participants in and for family, religion, education, corporations and the government.
One person can dramatically change the fortune for an entire family system and create generational change.
Advocating for financial education to be taught in schools is needed.
Asking, “Why don’t we talk about money?” at church can open a powerful door.
Understanding and being involved in votes or rights related to the education and financial well-being of citizens continues to move us forward.
Seeking more financial benefits for you and your coworkers can help create enormous value.
You are not simply a bi-product of The 5 but an active participant in most, if not all of these areas. We all require these to help get our social and economic lives moving towards a future other than the majority of us will be living at or below a poverty level of income when we retire.
My encouragement is to consider your position within each of these and ask what movement you can do to help shape them for good. Each of The 5 is made up of a bunch of You’s working together for a better place to be.
